Syrian Apps is a one-person software studio building native apps for Mac and iPhone. Every app shares one architecture: everything runs on the user's device: speech recognition, receipt OCR, posture analysis and sound synthesis, with no accounts, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, and no servers holding user data.

Whisperer is a free menu-bar app for macOS: hold a key, talk, and your words land in whatever app you're using, transcribed entirely on the Mac's Neural Engine. Dictation works system-wide in around 33 languages, with an optional on-device polish step that cleans up the raw transcript. No audio or text ever leaves the machine; there is no account and no subscription.
Every receipt. Nothing in the cloud.
Tally captures, organises, splits and understands paper receipts entirely on the iPhone. A bundled vision-language model reads receipts offline, an on-device AI assistant answers questions about spending, and warranty tracking turns receipts into living case files. OCR, categorisation, search and analytics all run locally. Receipt data never touches a server.

Loopaper is a native macOS menu-bar app that turns any video into a smooth, forever-looping live wallpaper across every display. It decodes in hardware, pauses itself when displays are covered or the Mac is on battery, and collects nothing. A companion screen saver keeps the motion going when the Mac is idle.

Resonate plays calming soundscapes for sleep, focus and quiet, rendered in 3D spatial audio that opens up around the listener on headphones, with synchronised gentle haptics.
